Does anyone happen to have a NOS top Horizontal piece of chrome trim that goes above the windshield on a 73 Gran Torino? I’m willing to pay a good fair price for a NOS piece.

I've got one from a 76 that isn't NOS, will need to clean it up and re-chrome.

Thanks for replying John . I have the two vertical pieces NOS and was hoping to come up with the horizontal piece to match. I have a good used one but didn’t know how close I could get it to match the new pieces by just cleaning it and buffing. These pieces are anodized aren’t they?

Yes, any NOS pieces would be anodized.  To clean up one out in the weather all these years it would need the coating removed and buffed.  And I would expect there would be a difference you would notice between it and the NOS.  I removed the coating by soaking in lye water for about 15 minutes.  Then wet sanded down to 1500 grit and buffed on a wheel.  Never had them coated again, just put metal wax on them about twice a year.  All turned out nice.  Hope you can find a NOS to have a good match.
