I was at a local speed shop when I ran into an older gentleman getting his car appraised. It's an all original 1974 Cougar XR7.  It was a solid survivor car, and the owner was really proud of his new car.  He had just sold off his 1951 Ford and wanted something with power steering and easier to drive.  He found this nice two owner Cougar.

He was missing the air intake hose on the engine. He's just using a dryer hose now. I told him I'd help him out and try and find the part for him. Does anyone know where you can get these?  I remember reading there is a generic part store part that might work. If so, anyone know the brand and part number?

Thanks
Vince

It's square to square.

I found this one, Crown Automotive Air Intake Tube Adapters J5357889.  Does anyone know if it will work?

Strange, the Crown site shows different dimensions than Summit?  Summit comments shows 2 x 3 1/4" which sounds about right. But the Crown site shows 3.5 x 6 which would definitely be too big.

I know this is an old post but if this fellow is still looking for that part, I have one in good condition. Willing to give it up to help keep this Cougar original. Just pay the shipping costs.
