Can anyone tell me some more info on the 1970 Torino Type N/W.  How cam you confirm that it's a true N/W edition, how many were built with what motors.  General info

I don't know much about these cars, but here is some history:

Before the new generation Torino came out in 1970, the Ford Dealers Association in Oregon got together with an idea to promote the new body style. The special Torino would be unique to the Northwest, and 601 were supposed to be produced.

Starting with a Torino two-door hardtop and offered only in Pacific Blue, Oregon Orange, and Wilderness Green (otherwise known as Grabber Blue, Orange, and Green for regular Ford offerings), they came with blacked-out hoods complete with hood pins, dual racing mirrors, rocker panel racing stripes boasting “TORINO N/W,” Wide Ovals, and argent styled wheels.

Of the 395 Type N/W models made, only five are 429s and only one had a 429 Cobra Jet.

Here is an article on one for sale:

It looks like from that article that the N/W edition option should show up on the Marti Report.  So that'd be your best bet of confirming it's validity.
