Besides the dash plate, and the label on the driver's side door opening below the door latch, where all would the vin's be located?
Need to do some verification.
Thanks,
Russ

The engine and transmission is sometimes stamped with a partial VIN too.  Lots of the parts are date stamped, like the frame, and body parts.  They should be a little bit before the build date.

i forgot about those.  thanks vince.

however, on my car, the engine block was stamped... but the transmission nor the frame was stamped anywhere.  and i never saw it on any of the other parts.

It seems only some cars had partial VINs stamped on the engine and transmission. So I am not surprised yours didn't have it on the trans. Lots didn't, mine for whatever reason had both.

I should clarify, other than the dash, the body buck tags, and sometimes the engine and trans, I don't know of any other VIN locations. The frame is not VIN stamped.

However, lots of parts are date stamped, like the frame, and other body parts. My frame has the date stamped into it in several locations. This date stamp should be within about 6 weeks before the cars build date. I too have never seen a frame or other body panels VIN stamped.

Thanks, all.
That explains it. I thought that these had the vin on the frames like GM's did around that time.
No wonder I couldn't find it.

VIN may also be stamped on the floor under the carpet, driver side sill area near the seat belt,
