I believe the insulators are the same things for ‘72 on. They have the same core support, so the insulators should be the same, too....

Yup. But the radiator brackets could be a “ford universal part”

Thanks. I looked at autokrafters website. No insulators for 72.
Are there any other good vendors for 72-76 torino parts? Otherwise I will just get the Mustang 71-73 insulators.....

The bottom ones are different from Mustang, but I know they are shared with 70s T-Birds. I think the top ones might interchange with Mustang, but would have to check the parts manual. I couldn't find lower ones fo my car, but I was able to save/restore the originals.

Aren't the tanks the same size regardless of the core? I used the same tanks on my rad for a 2-core and then later when it was upgraded to a 3-core.
The part numbers you need for a Torino are as follows: Top: C7SZ 8125-C (RH) C7SZ 8125-D (LH) These are common to the Torino, Thunderbird and Mustang (and others). You can probably find these Bottom: D3OZ 8125-A (RH) D3OZ 8125-B (LH) These are less common, used by Torino, Thunderbird (looks like the RH was used by some other cars, like Granada and Pinto). |
