1970 Mercury Cyclone
Windshield wipers are not working, I’ve check the fuses and they seem to be fine except for one that does not have any power on either side of the fuse. I’ve unplugged the wiper motor and I do not have any power there, since I don’t have a diagram of the fuse panel it’s possible that the fuse that doesn’t have any power could be the wiper fuse. I’m thinking of removing the wiper switch but I’m at a standstill. Hoping someone can tell me how to remove the wiper switch, I can’t even get the knob off. Thanks Jim

assuming that switch is similar to the 72+ switches and knobs??? look at the base of the knob there may be a small slot? if so you need a small hooked pick to go up in the notch pulling forward on the clip and pick as you slide the knob off
if no slot look for a small set screw??? |

Thanks CJ
On a 1970 Cyclone is there more than 1 fuse panel or is there a windshield wiper relay that I’m not finding? Thanks

not real sure on the 70/71 cars, don't believe there';s a relay, but if there's no power into the supply side of the fuse then it could be a wire issue but the wiper supply would be powered from the key in the ON position...

update,
I got it figured out, I initially thought it was a fuse or a switch, but eliminated those as I was getting power to the wiper motor. Then I thought I had a bad wiper motor, I was able to make it work outside the car and ended up determining that it was a bad ground on the wiper motor itself. Thanks for the help Jim
