Hello everyone. I am brand new to the forum. My name is Greg. I am currently 34 years old. I've been spinning wrenches just out of diapers. I know little of whatever guys my age are into that have turbos and computers, and whatever 4cyl. 10 sec cars are all about, but I can tune a Holley well enough to be respected by the old school men and lob a big chalop of American steel off the line so hard to blow out the rear window. I haven't had time to really seek out a forum particularly for Torino's as I am currently involved in a Chevy build, Senior member on a forum there. But. Helping my. Younger cousin tweak his cammed 85.foxbody.i started thinking Ford's. I think my Google keypad justgotcCorona. I don't can't fix. I ohave a very interesting Torino I would like to share with all you guysWheon I'm allowed to. Post. Pics I think it's something you may have neveseen and hope. You'll enjoy. Thankseo

1970 Torino Brougham 4 Door with optional factory. Drag. Pack. Option. 429 Scj with Cruise o Matic Trans, 390 Detroit locker rear and the works all packed into a 4 door. Family sedan! All oringal, 13,000 miles. Paperwork and order sheet to match. My father speced out the order forum for his mom (was my grandma's car) when he was just a kid. Packed it away in a garage for a while. Thought sharing the pics would intrigued some.

Welcome aboard! I just upgraded you to a full member so you can post some pics now. I'd love to see a Marti on that 1970 Torino as I don't think SCJs came in anything but 2 doors for 1970. What is the Chevy build you are working on?

According to Ford they built two 1970 4 door Torino's with 429scj. Not entirely sure exactly if other.was with a 4 speed or drag pack. Option. Or exists today. Declaring a value for insurance purposes is a current condumdrum I am in. Vehicle needs to be slightly. Exercised outside. Of driveway.

Wow, that is one sweet Torino! The one rule with Ford is that there always seems to be exceptions. So I am not surprised they made a 4-door SCJ. Do you have the Marti report, I'd love to see it. No worries about the non Fords. As you see John has a whole thread on his non Fords. You have some cool rides! |
