Hello all. Awesome forum. I purchased a 1970 Torino gt recently out here in Phoenix AZ. The car needs some restoring but is complete and very solid! Love the forum and hoping to show the progress of the car and get some input along the way. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I upgraded you to a full member, so you can upload some pics of your GT. What do you have for an engine and transmission? I am looking forward to seeing your progress.

Thanks! It has a 351C 4V and automatic transmission. Not currently running but the motor turns over. Will also be looking to go back to chrome bumpers and switch out the wheels to a factory ford wheel.

Very nice ride. I can see that cutting across Baseline and heading to Tortilla Flats.

Hopefully can cruise up to tortilla flats soon, that would be a blast. Might just take it back to its original color when I get more $$. It started life as more of a light gold. This is my real love which may never come back to life. A 74 LTD.

The. '74 LTD is a nice ride. I prefer the 2 door models. Think of the "White Lightning" brown '71 only a two door. The Galaxie 500 had less"bling" I'd take either.
I hit Tortilla Flats by motorcycle. The desert is nice to ride. If I ever finish my Gran Torino, I'm going to drive it out there, because I can.

I'd never heard of Tortilla Flat, but it sounds like a pretty cool place to check out if I'm ever out that way!
