help ... I am missing whatever spring device keeps my shift lever in the rearward position. 1971 Ranchero ... same as Torino
The shifter was floppy When I disassembled the mechanism ... there was no spring present π’π’π’π’π’π©π©π©π©π© no spring of any sort I donβt even know what Iβm missing π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π©π©π©π©π© The rolled pin pivot point is perfect ..... I need help .... Thanks, 60 year old Papa

welcome! i haven't personally disassembled a 70/71 column, but i'm assuming it's similar to the 72-79 columns? IIRC there's a small coil spring in there???
