Same switches, just colors may differ. The originals are getting harder to find. Rockauto.com also has aftermarket switches, just don't know the quality or fitment.

They are different. The 77-79 switches have a longer plunger. I have the shorter ones in it now. They were used in all up to 1976. I just found out cause the ones I have won't even touch the door when its closed.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought that the pre-72 intermediates had the short plunger jamb switches, sorry to give erroneous info.

All good! I found out the hard way. I rewired the entire car with a 72 harness. The po used an aftermarket wiring harness so I ripped all that crap out. Just got all the bugs worked out. Just need the longer jam switches.
