I read a couple threads from guys swapping T56s in. Both threads claimed it was going to be close, but neither confirmed that the floor pan needed to be modified or if it fit. Does anybody know for sure 1 way or the other.
Thanks

You can manage to make it fit without raising the floor but it will definitely require a set of rear adjustable control arms to dial back proper u joints angle. I made the mistake of cutting the floor and raising it.

I haven't seen any threads yet on a T56. If I could do my manual swap again, that's what I would do. The TKO600 fit without any floor modification but the TKO is meh.

thanks. My car is a factory 4 speed. I really want OD, but cutting the floor isn’t an option. I really don’t like the feel of the TKO so I was hoping a T56 fits without cutting the floor.
