Hello everyone! I've been a Ford guy my whole life so I'm excited to be here. About 15 years ago I owned a 1979 Ranchero, and now I've come into possession of a 1970 Ford Torino! This is a two door hardtop model (0R30), though the previous owner had some GT customizations added along with some paint. The motor is the original 351C 4V block and heads along with the FMX transmission and 9" rear-end (3.00 gears).

One of my near-term plans for this car is to customize the dash with a custom panel. Not a big fan of the so-called "idiot lights" myself, or a cluster without a tach and oil pressure. The speedometer cable housing on the back of it was also in pieces, so if I have to replace anyway, why not have some fun!

I also have a 429 Cobra Jet motor from a '71 model that I am rebuilding with the original D0VE-C heads. I have yet to decide if this will be swapped into the Torino, as the 351C 4V is also a mean street motor... opinions welcome!

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all! Oh, and I will definitely post some pictures after I'm upgraded, stay tuned.

Welcome Dan!! You've been upgraded, so post some pics when you have a chance. Sounds like a nice '70 you have there, with some great plans for it. We actually have a post on upgrading a 1970 - 71 Torino dash to a digital cluster here I the how to section:
