Hello everyone, I'm just taking a moment to introduce myself. My name is Justin and we have a 73 Torino. It is a bomber dirt track race car that my fiance drives and she does pretty well! The car is a 351/c6 car. I'm here mostly to learn more about these cars and maybe scrounge a few parts here and there if I can find a classifieds section. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I have upgraded you to a new member so you have full forum privileges. Post some pics of your race car when you have a chance.

Ask and you shall receive!  These are a couple from our most recent race here in june. I am still working on the car to get it tidied up. We are young in our early 20s and she built this car with her dad and left overs from her previous car that got bent.  I come from motocross and drag?racing so even 2 years in this dirt track stuff makes me feel really new. She won state championship in 15 and 17 in her last car with consistency. Now i want her to start winning and puttin' it to them metric chevy boys.

She is a great shop dog. Look closely that white bowl under the metal bench is full of water just for her. Along with the gallon jug of fresh water just behind. She loves being in the shop.

Welcome Bomber!

What are you running for a suspension setup on the Torino?

We are required to run stock suspension mounts/bushings. No offset bushings allowed... So We have a truck spring in the front right, and just off the shelf gas shocks. Lots of camber in the front right so as the car turns and leans over it stands that tire up. We are allowed a max of a 235/70/15 tire as well. This year we are allowed to run racing springs, so I will need to get myself a set of scales and figure out how to scale a car and what I am looking for so I can order the correct springs. probably Try to do that in the winter off season.
