All, I have not done the research, and am kinda limited on time for a deal on a Ranchero, so thought I would look to you experts for some quick info.
I am looking to get one of two '79 Ranchero's and need to know if the '77-'79 T Bird front clip would fit on these Rancchero's? Is it a bolt on, or need mods?
I might start this new project, but if I do, I'm trying to do it a little different.
Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated.
Thanks, Andy

Hollander's Classic Interchange Manual lists the Ranchero under the LTD II and says the grille is different. Go for it!

I've seen this done on two separate cars.

It's very doable.

Thanks friends.....My cousin has two '79 Ranchero's, and I can have one if I like. I'm leaning to a restore with the Thunderbird front clip, because of the hide away headlights. There is a '78 T Bird here locally, for $500.00 running, but the Rancheros are in Apple Valley CA. So, I think I will get the Tbird now, then go get the Ranchero, hopefully by March.....another project? Someone hit me!

Yup! He bought my mother's Fury III a few years ago. I've met him several times.

Thanks again.

A complimentary book is the Ford Parts Interchange Manual. It covers '59-'70 Mustang, Fairlane, Torino, Cougar and Cyclone. The price on the back is $24.95 but worth every penny of it.
