Hello,

A pleasure to meet ALL of you!

71 Torino Cobra 351 Cleveland

When I turn on the head lights my dash left turn signal light is on solid. I noticed my front side marker lights are not coming on and the rear driver side does not come on. I replaced the bulbs and turn signal fuse and that did not fix the problem. The turn signal works with the headlights off. Does anyone have an idea what I should check?

Respectfully,

Josh

That sounds like a bad ground (black wire)

usually that means a marker light is out on that side but since you now know it's out you'll need to figure out why... check bulbs first then connections, then maybe grounds on that side...

Josh,

I have the exact problem, left won’t flash when lights are on.  Did you come up with a fix?

I’m guessing it may be a ground.  Where is the ground on that side?

it flashes but not with the lights on? you mean the outside bulb ? or the dash indicator dont flash when the lights are on? that usually indicates a bulb out on that side! but if the outside bulbs dont flash with the lights on... i'd guess a ground issue?
generally the grounds are on each side near the headlights grounded short to the core support...

T boy,

Apologies for the late response! Unfortunately I m out in the field. I should have an answer for you in two weeks when I return home.

I’m praying it will be bad ground to trace. Before asking the question I almost replaced the turn signal switch/ lever.

Respectfully,

Josh
