Can someone explain the function of this "Choke Diaphragm Assembly" on my 2100 D two bbl carb. Looking to know it's function and what makes it operate. Thanks to all.......

BTW, I have been to many web sites, no one seems to discuss this valve. Including links on this forum, unless I've missed it.

sticking how / when? sticking or just not coming off?

all the pull-off does is crack the choke blade open to a minimum cold start runable setting. as the engine warms other components of the choke system take over slowly opening the choke blade. do you have a electric powered bimetallic coil, is it hot air assisted with small metal tubes that go into the intake manifold choke stove, or does it rely strictly upon under hood temps to dial the choke blade open? some also have a heater hose hanger on the side of the carb to heat the choke coil

is the fast idle cam system free, not hanging up?

is the choke coil adjusted so that the choke never comes off, too far to 'RICH" ?

also remove & inspect the choke coil to make sure it's not broken Wink
