Hello again. I was doing some looking around the web and came across the Gran Torinos that were built for the new Starsky and Hutch movie. I really like the look of the tires they used, size seemed to fit the car. I emailed the builder and he replied with the size tires they used but not the rim size. He said they used 275-50-15 and 235-50-15. Now I know very little about sizing tires but I assume the 275-50-15 is the rear and the 235-50-15 is the front. From what I uderstand 275 and 235 is the width? The bigger number being the wider for the rear? Now then. I know I need 15 inch rims all the way around but what about width and backspacing? I am running lifting springs on the rear so clearance is no problem. So what width and backspacing do I need for the 275-50-15 on the rear and what width and backspacing do I need on the front? Any help would be great. I know from reading the post's that there are some of you out there running oversize wheels. Greg

They were 235 and 275/60 15 not 50 series (235/50 would be verry short in the front).. I have out of the box 15x8" Torque Thust II's with 265/50/15 front and 275/60/15 rear tires and they fit just fine. The backspacing is on the American Racing Wheels website. Pics of my car are on starskytorino.com under JimW from PA..
