Matching VIN to Engine Block

   Did Ford stamp any part of the VIN on the 429 Thunder Jet Engine Blocks (Not the Cobra Jet)?  If so, where is the VIN number stamped on the engine.  I have also heard that only a date stamp and not a VIN was stamped on the block.

	I have heard that a partial VIN is stamped on the rear face behind the driver's side head. Does anyone know if this true for the Torino 429 engines?
