What do you mean, run both wires directly to the coil? Connect the IGN lead to the negative coil post?

Good catch John. I should have been more specific. It's a series circuit. My method has all of the changes accessible from under the hood. Hence at the coil.

yeah that’s my question… how/where do I grab power from the key? I do not have the sport wire harness so I need to run all new wires into the brown connector at the back of the cluster.

Unless someone else has been in there, just plug in the connector. Change the oil pressure switch to an oil pressure sender. There may be other names for it. Exacpt for the tach, everything should work.

Thanks, but it seems I’m not making myself clear.
I do not have the sport dash wire harness. I do not have the sport eng wire harness either. There is nothing to plug the brown 6 pin gauge connector into. Im asking where to wire the IGN on the Tach to? Thanks |

here's the location of the pins in that brown connector, if that helps?
if you had the matching connector from another harness with a couple inches of wire you could splice onto that i have a bad sport dash harness but IIRC i chopped that connector out for tim... (i think the tail light connector is the same???) |
