I've seen a couple of very nicely restored '78 XR-7s (or uber-nice originals?) on the 'net that have had the wide mid-bodyside moulding but with no colour-coded vinyl inserts, and then two-toned paint to match the vinyl roof below that trim line. Was that an actual available option? The catalogue doesn't say it was, but it's not always correct.
