Do you have the measurements you used to buy your axles?  I won't be able to pull both sides to measure and I will be needing to purchase those 31 spline Mosers shortly..

I wonder if I can get the rest of the specs for the order sheet from the drivers side (the way my garage is, I only have clearance on one side or the other)..   Is the spec the same from 72-76?

Thanks!

Jim

I believe so Jim but I will verify that at work tomorrow I can't imagine they would change them on the later cars. as a matter of fact the old part numbers were D6OZ which would be 76 and later. Gary

Jim,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I have been swamped with work and the kid is playing football so I'm out late every night. The specs which you got are close to what I ordered. Here is what I ordered.

30"  and 32.5   The bearing package # is 9507F  2.834/1.977  #8030 Stock Ford 1/2-20X1 1/2" .615 Knurl   #9750 Sm Brg Ford Retainer Plates.

Not sure which brakes you have, just check before ordering. If you or anyone is interested I have a set of 28-spline Mosser axels that I barely used that will fit.

P.S. Am going to try to get ot the track tomorrow night and break that 11 second barrier.

Nev

Ordered a set of 31's.  Interesting difference, I have the big bearing rear, started in 1973 I think..

That's right 73 had the large rear wheel brgs. Alot of 72's got upgraded because Ford had a recall on all 72 9" rear axles and a lot of bearing failures. The retainers would break and the axle would work it's way out as you were driving! Fun eh??  Gary

Didn't make it this weekend. Had to work Saturday and Sunday, will be going for sure this weekend come Hell or High Water. I've worked everyday since 8/18. Friends of mine and I may be renting a track for a day later this month it is by Pottstown. Costs $60.00 for the day let me know if you might be interested and I will give you more details when they are available

Car is in pieces, trying to get it done for the Indiana reunion on the 23rd...  Finally installing the 3.55' and a higher stall converter..   Hoping for lower 7's in the 1/8 but who knows if the DR's will hold the track or not....  (all depends on their prep)
