I've got a question about using a Victor manifold and Edelbrock water
pump in an application that requires a heater core as well as a
temperature sending unit.
I've attached a diagram that essentially labels all the ports. A & B are on the manifold and C & D are on the water pump. B is supposed to connect to C as a thermostat bypass (I think, not sure). A could then run to F, the heater core feed, and then E to D as the heater core return. However, that leaves no place to screw in the temperature sending unit. Questions: *Is the B/C connection the thermostat bypass? If so it seems large. *Would a 1/8" hole in the thermostat enough of a bypass for the system? Seems to work for many cars. Or, do I have it all wrong and it works like this: C supplies the heater core D is the heater core return A can be plugged B can be used for the temp sender If what I wrote above is correct then I'm good to go. I can also pull the manifold and tap a hole back on the back side of it to get access to head water, but I'd like to avoid that if possible. |
