Anyone know what the differences are? I ran into this when my brother in law was working on a Mach 1 but I've noticed it was apparently a corporate change over. Autokrafters doesn't list a small block motor mount for the 72's either.

There should be no difference. The 72 all the way to 79 Midsize car platform has the same engine bay set up. So if your car (72) had a 351C it would drop right in to a 77 LTD II (same engine bay). So if you fine a 76 torino with a 302 the engine mounts would work fine in your 72.

However there appears to be some difference in 72 vs. the 73 and up. I figure I could always go with mounts listed for 73 and up. Just curious as to what the difference is.Chuck

There were very slight changes made to the motor mounts, none of which are significant enough to worry about, they will all interchange the same just make sure you get them on the correct side of the motor and you'll be good to go! |
