Hi,
I'm considering towing a trailer with my 76 Ranchero, 350M, auto, across this great country, moving.
Any ideas what a reasonable weight to tow is??? both Engine and Trans have been completely redone, I will use air shocks to help in the back end. Sales brochure list it can tow 6k #, but I somehow don't quite believe that. Should I?
Also, does any one know where there is a Topper for sale on the East Coast? Most for sale are out west.
Thoughts sure would be welcomed
TB

If by Topper you mean camper shell, I am not aware they make/made one for this car. I HAVE seen a couple, but they look home-made. As far towing capacity; whatever 'they' say, I would decrease by 25%. So if it's 6K, I'd go with 4,500 or so? Don't push the old girl, she'll last a lot longer.

Almost looks like Delorean ass end. Add Gull wing doors, and presto there it is.
