Well, Eddings Engine in San Fernando, CA, who are putting my motor together (bear in mind that i took them a whole crap-load of new stuff to put on, including bolts, gaskets, etc), called me AGAIN with what I need to finish=more money that I don't have... The flywheel is worn, needs replacing, cool, heat treating my brand new cam... Ummm, why? Cleaning out my brand new radiator (I put some head gasket seal in there, I guess that's not a good idea.. This was before I decided to redo the engine), and a few other whoop-dee-doops. Geez, this is really getting expensive. Extended my finish time BY ANOTHER 2 WEEKS, GAAAAAAAAA. This was all supposed to only take 10 days, that was like a month ago. Oh well. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I'm freakin' out MAN. Well, I'd rather them take their time and do it right, I reckon. I'll post all the pics when it's done, and burn-out vids when it's broken in.CryDeadOuchAngryConfused

As a general rule. Take your budget and timeframe. Multiply x 2.. Then you'll be close.

if it's a hydraulic flat tappet set up, treating the cam is a good idea, greatly reduces the chance of things going very bad with that break in you're so anxious for

make sure you use proper oil for the break in and happily ever after, the new oils on the shelf DO NOT protect old style engines

I remember when I dropped my block, was supposed to take 3 days, took him a month, only because I called and told him I was coming the next day no matter what

Cost and timeframe estimates have never been correct on anything I've ever built. Never. Ever.

Engine is almost done. I have a couple of pics but for some reason can't get into my photobucket account.
