Will that trick work with the stock lowers (boxed)? Would it be better to have any adjustability for pinion angle or instant center?
Thanks! Jim |

Can I ask a stupid question (I came in late to this) - Is this for a modified rear control arm set? |

Since Southside Machine is kaput, some of the guys wanted to try & make their own bars but needed instructions.
I don't think it will work with the stock bars but let me measure & I'll get back to you.

Just as an aside, I ran at the local street drags this past weekend (www.thunderintheburgh.com) and was only .25 off my strip times in the 330'.. Other cars were lowering their air pressure and running slicks, I left the DR's at 28 psi and turned 1.9's on the street.. (5.03 at 74.4 in 330')
I know with full slicks I'd have been able to run identical to a prepped track (4.78). At the 600hp level with a street oriented gear ratio, it seems that urethane bushings and soft shocks/springs work well enough to get by even on marginal surfaces..
I can't imagine how well it would hook with proper geometry in the rear...

Better use BOXED stock LCAs.. I have a feeling they'd bow up nicely with the SSM bracketry.

If the SSM LCAs are not available why not use the Metco LCAs? I know i can get them for less then Deaborn classics is selling them for . Anyone interested? I also have a set of NOS Ford LCAs that I bought a long time ago never been installed. Gary
