Does anyone know if a LTD rearend will fit on a 1972 gran. I didnt know if the length was tha same. The LTD is a 77. I couldn't find a post on it in the search sect.

Yes it is a LTD II.Do you know what the length that is used on a 1972 gran is. I'm gathering parts I need on mine. And found this at a friends house. I haven't had the time to check mine but I think it must be an 8 in. It come with a 302. Axle code is 6 and I can't tell if that means 8 or 9 in. It only says the gear is 3.00.

Ok thanks. So 61.25 or 63 inch will work. I'm I correct by measuring from backing plate to backing plate? Also is the 8 inch 61.25 and the 9 inch 63 in?
