Hi proud to join this message board.  I have a 1973 Gran Torino Sport with a 351C CJ and top loader 4spd.  It has a healthy rebuilt engine 458 HP. It has 4.56 gears and a detroit locker in the back with 255/70/15 Tires. The rest of the suspension is stock except for new Monroe shocks.  My problem is with an impresive amount of wheel hop.  This is not a drag car I just take it to shows.  However I would like to spin the tires when leaving with out wheel hopping.  I saw some performance lower control arms from Dearborn classics would this help? Do you think new coil springs would help?  Or is ther something elso I could do without spending a fortune to stop the problem.  Any info on what to do and whare to get it would be appreciated.
Thanks

You might want to try a set of Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable shocks.  It reduced my wheel hop to next to nothing.

What Neville said plus throw in urethane bushings for the upper and lower control arms (a bit cheaper than the new arms and they have worked for me).  If you plan on going for more power in the future, you may want to consider the new lower arms (See "Launch" thread) and just get urethane for the uppers.
