Anyone here in this year section in need of a set of new front brake rotors?
AutoKrafters sent me the wrong ones for my '72 and it isn't worth the cost of sending them back unless nobody on here wants them. I paid '$65 each for them. They are still in the boxes. email me directly with an address so I can get a shipping quote if you are interested in them. xrain@talkwireless.ca or call/text me at 905-650-5889 Thanks

Not sure Carl. Doesn't the Ranchero use the larger rotor and bolt pattern like the wagon? If so these will not work.
They are exactly the same as the '72 & '73 Torino/Montego excluding Police/Wagon. they just use a larger inner wheel bearing so I can't use them.

74-79 midsize should have the same front rotors, caliper, and pads.
to include the ranchero and wagon(s). the 72-73 used a different sized front outer wheel bearing thuse affecting the rotor race diameter. |

The difference is in the inner bearing & race. The out is exactly the same.
Here is the info off the boxes;
Made by Tech
121.61009 Standard Brake Rotor
(replaces 5418 106038)
AutoKrafters Part #141078
'74 - '76 All except Police car & taxi
$69.95 each
I have no idea what shipping would be as they are heavy. I can ship from the US to keep prices down. I may be traveling thru Michigan to the upper penninsula in a couple of weeks and could meet somewhere if that helps.

Ah, forgot Canada.
I found them for about 1/2 that each. And shipping would probably be a lot. Bring them to Carlisle with you and someone will buy them. |

Hey Ian, you know you can still get the rotors from most parts places for our cars? Probably cheaper than re-ordering from the US.
On that note, I still have the original factory rotors on my car, still stamped with the Ford part number, and still in spec after all these years and miles. |

i use Rockauto to cross reference parts
just look up both applications and see if the same PN's pull up for each
they also usually have a pretty darn good price too

I already have the correct rotors for my car.
I just wanted to offer these up to anyone who might need them as I don't.

Oh, sorry I didn't know you got new ones already. I was just was trying to save you a few bucks instead of ordering again from the states...
Rock Auto is a great resource and usually shows accurate pictures of the parts too. I've used it to check out parts then order them from a local parts shop I deal with. |
