My name is Joe and I am north of Houston. This is a re make of my original 1974 Elite brought home in May 1974. Fuel injected 460 with Vortech blower, AOD, 3:50's, all power/air. Ground up restoration.

It sounds like that car should run at least as good as it looks....and it looks REALLY nice!

I had a 1974 Gran Torino Elite with a 400/ C-6 in it out of my '77 T-bird. It wa s a factory 351W/ FMX car. I drove mine from 1993 to 1997. We even took a trip in it from Michigan to the Texas Panhandle once. I had an uncle with a '76 then, as well. I still see an Elite once in a while, but Michigan salt eats them.

How do you like street manners? It sounds like the gear and AOD would be good. Do you have a higher stall convertor, or can you get by with a mild one with the engine add-ons? Do you know the horsepower of the build or have you made a trip to the strip with it?

Very unique and well done car.

  -Les in MI.
