	That rear view mirror is what was on the 74 donor when I got it. It will come off when the interior is installed

	Got the engine, trans and diff all finished and installed, and all the electricals wired up. Took the thing out for a run down the side street...it is a beast! That engine pulls way harder and stronger than I thought it would, like a freight train! 550 lbs/ tq will do that I suppose... My plan was to have a 3.55 gear in it, but I have not had that built yet. It only has the 3.00 in it now, and it is amazing. I may just put a 3.08 or 3.25 in it. It certainly isn't suffering any power loss as it is.

	Finally, all the blocking and sanding and panel-fitting is done! The drivetrain is completely installed and tune-up: Got the 3.55 LS unit installed. Put a seat in it and took it for a drive up and down the street in front of the shop: What a beast! Unbelievable power! Of course, with no interior, no glass and no bumpers, it sure had no weight disadvantage. Even when all that stuff is back on, I'm sure this thing will have all the power it needs. Going into the paint section this week. The painter will make his final preferred sanding touch-ups, and he'll shoot the black. I'm laying out the stripe myself (using 3/8"...I think it looks better), then he'll do the white (pure toner) and then the red (Viper red). can't wait to get this baby done!

	It is taking longer than I anticiptaed, but that's OK, the finished product will be better for it!

	Finally, got the fan installed! I wanted to use the Flex-a-Lite #295 fan, a nice dual-fan shrouded set-up with a pretty cool variable-speed controller. The only problem: It retails for about $500! I finally found one one on ebay for $250, "used" but never been used. Fits like a glove, works great. Should be no cooling problems for me. I may look for another to install on my Mustang...
