Picked up an old razorback style Topper about a year ago. I have been in the process of resto modding for my 73 Ranchero MX. Here is the link to the ranchero site where I have been posting the progress. http://www.ranchero.us/forums/showthread.php?p=231057#post231057

Check out the ranchero link on the top of this thread. I painted the Topper today and all went pretty good... Almost. Lets just say my shop was bugged! (box elder bugs that is) They kept flying into the paint and landing on the topper. Witht e temps here in the 20's at night and 30's daytime I thought we were past having any kind of bug issues. But when i heated up the shop and started spraying they were everywhere (like I was outside). Top still looks good for a first time job I just have a lot of specks were the bugs have landed (looks like dust) Not sure yet if I want to sand and buff or just live with it.  Take care Dan

First off you are not sounding stupid. I have stumped many with my version of the Ranchero MX. Yes I put this together. I have seen other Montego front clips on a ranchero but none ever made it to the level of completion that mine has. Thanks for the props take care Dan
