clutch packs in this rear end. that's what I put in my 9inch. 3.57 do I need to use a friction modifier in this ? I have only run with the 35m that came with car. I know am putting a 460 swap into thanks for any advice on the eaton

sorry if duplicated. I have this setup , clutch pacs, do I need to use friction modifier? using synthetic gear lube. any other info helpful as I have only run w/351m, know I am doing a built 460. thanks

several times i've tried using limited slip type gear lube with the additive already in it, i had to add more additive there just wasn't enough in the store bought oil. Yes clutches need friction modifier

I did use castrol synthetic. isn't the friction modifier to reduce foaming?

Yes, you still need the friction modifier. It's for the clutches, keeps them from chattering. I got mine from the Ford dealer, it wasn't expensive and it worked great.

that's what I have. 357 gear I think. I put synthetic gear lube castol in. do I need to use a modifier ? thanks

I went with an Eaton tru-trac on my 28 spline 9" with 2.75 gears. made a massive difference!
