I may have to go with a new grommet but I'm thinking along those lines as well.

yeah it has to be installed on the cable before the ends are crimped on, it can't be stretched enough to get it over the ends Confused

Now It's got a driveshaft. I have to work out a moveable fuel supply, decide how to mount the solenoid, and what to do about the battery.
I'm thinking about zip tying a couple of old radiator hoses to frame to slip the battery cables into after I start the car.

Just in and out of the shop really. There will be a maiden voyage up and down the alley just to do it.

I got to drive it yesterday for the first time in almost 12 years. It's not quite road worthy but it was fun running it up and down the alley. Cop drove by just as we parked it in the garage.

Nice, must have felt awesome.  It's awesome to drive my car after a 6 month sleep for the winter, I can only imagine 12 years!
