I had a smith-corona typewriter that you could hardly move when cold and it was electric. Smooth as silk when it warmed up.

Lower actuator and switch seem ok when manipulated manually. Keeping my fingers crossed for when it's all back together.

my C-10 pick up has or should i say HAD, a shaft that runs down the tube for the shifter detent release, well one cold morning i couldn't pull the shifter back to move it to drive...well after several choice words i yanked it back hard and something in there broke! hand slipped off and i punched myself in the eye( black eye later at work) now more choice words!!! so i opened the hood and pryed it over the detent with a screwdriver and drove it to work. once there i later took the torch and cut that detent bracket off! then removed that useless shifter handle too " i have a shaved shifter"... just rotate the column to put in gear ya can't steal it if ya don't know how to get it out of park

All reassembled and cylinder working smoothly! Still a couple things to do before I fire it up, but very happy this phase is over! Thanks again for the help everyone! Here's a shot of my Torino taken last fall...
