kychevyguy is correct
It is a lake between Ft Worth and Abilene.  Possum Hollow is a restaurant/ motel/ campground on the north West part of the lake.  Im about 5 miles from there.  This car is my older brothers first car.  1973 GTS that he got from orig owner in 1975.  Has been in a barn out at our homeplace since 1990.  last summer the roof blew off so had to get it out before the rest caved in around it.  The barn was infested with rattlesnakes so i decided to pull it out when it was 18 degrees.  No snakes that way.  Got it out on New Years day.  Just getting started messing with it.  Was able to get it to fire off and run with a battery and sticking the fuel line in a bucket of gas.  The tank was full of terrible stuff when i got it off and the sending unit was in pieces.  Trying to find one of those now.  Ive got it jacked up and working on the brakes as well.  Rear brakes look pretty good but master cylinder is not pumping any fluid.  dont know if calipers are stuck yet or not.  Will take some more pics as we dig deeper.  I appreciate the welcome yall.

AWESOME!
Nice place around there!
We made daily rides/runs around the lake from the campground, stayed in the cabins and had a couple AWESOME weekends in that area! We made a run to the BBQ joint over in Stephenville... OMG THE BEST EVER!!!

Start a project thread and keep us updated with pics and stories!

I just picked up a Master cylinder at O'Reilly's for $15.
Gas tanks are out there new. You can use one from a newer year that has a bigger capacity just need the straps to go with it. 76 Elite and others have bigger tanks.

honestly, i'd replace the master, wheel cylinders, calipers and hoses along with flushing the system.  after sitting that long, stuff may work at first but it will fail not too long afterwards.  good idea on waiting for cold temps to pull it from the barn!

may be a week or two till i can get the parts gathered.  i want to be able to do it all at once so it doesnt set there and i forget how it goes back together.  ive been known to do that

Nice. I pulled a '73 GTS from a barn a few years ago. Snakes galore under it, and several nests hidden within the undercarriage. Skins wrapped around the Magnums, horrible stench emanating from the car that went away only after I loaded it up and pressure washed it repeatedly with degreaser and high-powered hot water..and 6 months of just waiting.
