Hi,

I'm from France (Paris) I've bought a very nice 73 Gran Torino Fastback 351 Cleveland 2bbl, almost a year ago.

I need to replace my spacer plate, it's very used, tried ebay and rockauto but nothing...Impossible to find one for the moment, any suggestions please ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the links Rockatansky, but is it gonna fit for my 73 Torino (351 5,8 Cleveland 2bbl) ?

Not the gasket for sure, have a look :

that's what they do, either clog with carbon or erode & burn through... that one you have there will never hold a gasket for very long

as far as fitment you'll have t match up the pics as best you can, or try to go by the numbers. sometimes there are multiple part numbers that are basically the same & will work, or the same part but a different year thus a different number

this new plate just showed up, looks like it should work for you?

the vacuum nozzle sticking out can just be blocked off with a rubber cap & hose clamp if you have no use for it, if it's even machined open? it looks like the one I linked above but the hose connector is not present so it may be solid / not machined

here is one with the nozzle and the hose connection

Thanks CaliforniaJohnny !

Yes it is, saw it on ebay 2 years ago, I've missed it, but the car was sold in France !! So I asked to the new owner if he wanted to sell it, and now it's mine !

The interior is near mint condition, never replaced, it's impressive.

OK so what I did was plane down the spacer plate to get a nice smooth surface , then   tap the exhaust  ports on the spacer and plug them off , lock tight ,  forget recycling emissions gasses , then use a gasket that was used prior to 72 , hooked every thing up to look stock ,  but no more of that dumping  un burned fuel and exhaust gasses  into the top of that engine . runs great .

^^^ i was going to suggest that. plugging off that emissions crap, that's what i do on all my cars. that egr plate was a stupid design IMO (just for this reason!)

Thanks Albo for your answer,

My english is not so good, so what do you mean excatly "tap the exhaust ports on the spacer" ?

And how do I plug them off ? With some material ?

I don't get it, sorry for this language barrier...

Tapping means to cut threads into the hole so you can install a pipe plug.
Your EGR spacer has the part off the back for the backpressure transducer. Those parts usually rotted apart inside of five years. If you don't have emissions testing, get a solid spacer.

Jessie has my old car over in France..  I've found him the correct spacer for the 73/74 351C / 400

He also needs the flex hose that attaches to the end of the snorkel on the air cleaner..
It was there when I sent the car overseas, but its gone now.

He doesn't need the plastic at the other end.. just the flex hose itself..
Anyone have one in good enough shape to use?

Here's the car in Nov 2013 a few weeks prior to departing the USA..

Not to be negative Nancy here, but I had a hard time finding one of these. Luckily I ran across one on Ebay fairly cheap.

I'm not  sure why the Autopart stores just don't carry them anymore. Ouch

I checked on the Autozone page, 1975 Torino uses the same part as 1975 Bronco

I also came up with Dorman 96052 but that number is a dead end, these fresh air tubes may be going extinct

This product is a fit for your:
1975 Ford Truck Bronco 5.0L 2BL OHV 8cyl

Part Number: 96052
Alternate Part Number: P2516-25
