I just bought an original '76 Torino, so if anyone needs pictures of anything for their restoration, I'd be happy to post them. It has the paint dabs, decals and "chalk marks". Original paint (except a primered area on the left front), original interior.

Nope, just a nice old car from the original family. It drives so smoothly and steady, you would not think you were in a 1976 car. Best ride of any I've had, still on 14 inchers. It has been garaged all it's life, but waxed and polished until the paint is thin. I'll wash it this week.

It came from Forrest Cate Ford, local dealer for years here and stayed in this area all it's life. My '76 that I bought in high school (and still have) is the same exact car from the same dealer with the same options and color. The only difference is the vinyl 1/2 top is white on mine and was black on this. Otherwise identical. Made 3 months apart.

So the story behind this one is:
Nice car, as advertised, decent price, and no "adventures" getting it home.
Everything went smoothly.

Tempted to call B.S. on that story. Big smile

Nope, it went smoothly (for once). No asphyxiation, no huge rats, no wild rides down mountains without brakes. I drove it to the BP yesterday and it cruised along like it was new. I guess since I paid more for it than I usually do for one of these, it gives more back. Maybe I'll start a thread in projects.

Very cool!

Being a 351W car, I would love to see good shots of the vacuum line routing. My Cougar has all original vacuum lines, but I'm questioning if I put them back on 100% correctly when I took them off to clean up the motor.
