| Where does the black resistor wire go that comes out of ignition wire plug go? Does it connect to the resistor wire that comes out of the speedometer plug? |

| this is a black wire coming out of the speedometer plug and one of the plugs for the ignition switch. it says "RESISTOR WIRE DO NOT CUT OR SPLICE" on it. |

1st, is this a std cluster or GT gauges cluster with a tach? and is the car believed to be factory stock original in regards to the dash & wiring harnesses? have you seen this thread, http://forum.grantorinosport.org/info-72-79-gauge-clusters-and-wiring_topic2933.html" rel="nofollow - http://forum.grantorinosport.org/info-72-79-gauge-clusters-and-wiring_topic2933.html can you pick out a pic that shows what you have? there's a pic on the 1st page that shows a wire as you've described
