Hi,

I have an problem with the way the engine sits in my LTD II.
On the drivers side there is only 1/16 of an inch gap between the exhaust manifold and the steering box. The engine mounts look OK but not sure! Has anybody else had an issue like this?

What I have noticed when I drive the car is that it feels like something is against the body on acceleration, on overrun it is smooth (partly why I suspect mounts)

If it is the mounts anybody any suggestions for best replacement - performance or standard?
And what type of a job is it to replace all the mounts?

Thanks

Steve

does the engine sit level or is it leaning over like it's passed out drunk?

pics?

do you have a local transmission shop that can look at it?

Mounts are easy, if you can find them. FYI, if you have the 302, it sits low and close to the steering box even with good mounts.
