72 GTS FASBACK looking for photos of Original trunk and colors. would like to know where and how far the splatter paint goes, inner 1/4 or just wheelhouse, type of trunk mat, sport, brougham, 2 or 4 door, or standard. build date and build plant. factory color or special order (prefer black, atlanta, late build, but all will do) not looking for something redone with undercoat or stuff. my car is factory black but the speckle paint was sprayed over with undercoat by oo. he thought it looked good....thanks, fred ------------- phred |

Hey Phred, my car was a March 1972 build, at Oakville. I have 95% original paint in the trunk and it is as pictured below. it was actually undercoated when new, and I stripped the undercoat off to expose most of the original paint a few years ago. Some of the paint had to be touched up. On my car the wheelhouse are painted the same colour as well. My original trunk mat fell apart decades ago. I just bought a repro from Macs, close enough for me. Here is my trunk after I cleaned it out. I had to redo the pain on the plugs and the seam sealer as well.
