Hello,

Has anyone found an acceptable alternative Blower Motor Resistor for a 1972 Ford Gran Torino S

port Cleveland 2 brl. with factory air ?. I have gone blurry eyed looking for the factory part today. The best selection was Summit they had a nice selection of Ford BMR but no match.. They recommended you guys and or gals.

Also, as long as I have your attention. I have my Torino listed for sale on Hemmings. There are 25 pic or so. It's a great car.

Alan welcome!! There actually is a replacement but I believe you had to switch around the wires on the plug. There is a thread on this with part numbers. I'm sure someone and pull it up for you

Welcome Alan. Here is the post Rick was talking about. You can use a resistor from a GM truck, but some minor modifications are required.

Hello,
My request for a alternative blower motor resistor for my 72 sport has a happy ending. My mechanic found the resistor in my vehicle and it was never hooked up.
