OK so working on a 1973 Torino its a 351w car we are doing a complete restoration of the car and have run into a problem with the front brakes . We upgraded the rear drum brakes to drilled and slotted disc brakes and would like to add drilled and slotted to the front to match the rear . problem is we are on our 3rd set of rotors that will not work , the 1st set was from stop tech , the summit web site said the would fit 1973 torino but when we got them they where not the same height and when the spindle nut was all the way tight the rotor was still loose the hub was not wide enough , and the rotor disc was not as thick as the stock rotors . called stop tech they said we don't make rotors drilled and slotted for 73 torinos . The next set was from SSBP called them they said yes we have what you need , ordered them up , but when we got them they where the same as the stop tech the hub was not wide enough , the next call was to baer brakes , I gave them all my measurements and he had rotors that matched exactly !  Ordered them up had them in 4 days but still no go . The inside wheel bearing cup is bigger and the 73 inside  bearing is to small . So ya figured out that it is a late 73 - 74 rotor with the bigger inside bearing , but of course their is no bearing to fit the bigger cup and the smaller spindle shaft .  so from what i have read if we find a set of 74 spindles we should be able to make these rotors work . So long story long am i correct in that thought that the 74 spindles will fit our 73 with the 74 spindle having the bigger inside bearing and it should fit the 73 ball joints and tie rods ? Any help is much appreciated !

ahhh! sounds like you have the older 72 style small bearing spindles? yes 74+ ford cars used the same later standardized bearings. IDK if i have any more 74 spindles off as i've sold a couple sets... i do have another pair on a car but i need to keep it moveable until i have the motor sold...

It sounds like you need the big bearing Spindles and all should work fine.  Please post some pics of your work, we'd all like to see the setup.
Check out this thread here, it has all the part numbers for spindles and bearings and which cars you can get them from:

Found these on Ebay, as an alternative if the spindles don't work out.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-1972-Ford-Gran-Torino-Front-eLine-Drill-Slot-Brake-Rotors-Ceramic-Brake-Pads/352379126086?hash=item520b6ec146:g:JjgAAOSwfCpbIIrt:rk:1:pf:0" rel="nofollow - https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-1972-Ford-Gran-Torino-Front-eLine-Drill-Slot-Brake-Rotors-Ceramic-Brake-Pads/352379126086?hash=item520b6ec146:g:JjgAAOSwfCpbIIrt:rk:1:pf:0

According to the seller, the picture in the ad is a stock photo, and the rotors shipped are supposed to be 100 percent bolt-on.
