I am restoring a 1968 Torino Fastback that was disassembled when I purchased it. I am doing the final interior installation and don't know how the interior sail panels attach to the package tray. I believe the Ford master parts catalog shows part number C8ZZ6503496-A but I have no idea what it looks like and I cant find it anywhere. Can anyone provide some direction? Thank you,Brian

This is a picture I found on the internet of another car but it is not very good.

I need know where I can buy the piece of plastic or rubber that connects the package tray to the sail panels. It may only be used on 1968 Torinos. I am happy to adapt something if it isn't available.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It is basically a windlass that covers the seam. If that's the piece you mean....

Thank you. Now I know what it should look like.

Does anyone know where I can purchase something like this?

I would suggest:

Buntman’s Obsolete Torino Parts
Dearborn Classics
Macs
Autokrafters
CTC Auto Ranch
Goodmark

I appreciate your help and will call Buntman's on Monday.

None of the other websites have it listed in their catalog. I even looked at Steele Rubber Company and couldn't find the pieces.

I thought this was going to be a simple item to find but I'm not having much luck so far.

A lot of the '68/'69 parts are tough to find. I got tired of looking for awhile, so got busy with other things. I got my '73 a few years back, too, and out of dumb luck I stumbled onto a fellow who had a huge stash of parts he was unloading. So, I purchased waay more than I should have at once, but it was a Godsend......I have probably about 90'% or more of what I need for the '73 now. So, 2 summers ago I pulled the '73 up in front of the door to the '69 stall. That would force me to get going again. In order to get to the '69, I HAVE to get the '73 done so ai can move it to get to the other one.   Lol.

I'll try to see you an email, too.....that way we can keep in touch--I'll probably have extra parts as I do have some boxes of stuff for that one, too. I'll be able to dig into some of those later this spring when it warms up.

Dave

I have a nice pair of those vinyl channels for the package tray.
