Everybody's looking good!

No chemicals inside, eh? How about baby wipes? LOL...

I hate to derail this slightly off-topic, but what is with that white car on the left, looks like a Falcon, 67-69 maybe? Are those signatures all over it?

The white car is the first 69 Talladega off the assembly line for sale to the public.
It was given to Bill France from Ford and kept at the track for all the drivers to sign.

Nice Torino's and Ranchero
can you get photos of the other cars besides the Torino's
I thought I spotted a Mustang II or Cobra II in the background
That Blue 70 Ford Mustang behind Pauls car looks sweet would love to see more of it as that is my favorite year and style.

I know this is a photo thread for the GTS.org show but show uswhat else is there too if you don't mind even if it's not a Ford product.if it is Kewl would love to see some photos as I like Muscle cars of all brands. Where's tha Taladega's they are suppose to have a Reunion again.

Somebody get more pics

Flash Mob before the banjos starting playing!! lol

Turns out the car is owned by a guy who has a towing company. It was his father's bought brand new, never been out of the family. He is saving the motor/tranny to put in a old ford truck. Then scrapping the car. Nothing of value any good on it except maybe some minor parts you can get anywhere.

Was fun seeing a convoy of cars and then a flash mob of people(men, Ladies and a child) digging around the car.
Steve is holding up some parts that we could have taken with us. but we were better citizens than that!

Antlerfiend, in the second picture outide the liqour store your wife has that "OMG UR EMBARRESING ME"
look.

On the first page I think i met the guy that owns the nicely restored Green 72 GTS at a car show a couple years back in Schaumburg? Is he member of this forum? I know he was talking about selling it and buying a wagon, i guess not?

I believe Tony is a member now. He was having a hard time getting signed up but Scott helped him out. No I don't think that was the look from my wife, she was just focused on getting some alcohol and didn't turn around for the picture. Carl on the other hand was always ready for a picture. I must say we had a great time hanging with Carl and Dee.

Some pictures.

First, let's cover the after hours events at "Case de Eklund":

A photo with no flash, but a little jerky (Joe, you can appreciate this effort since you are a camera guy as well)

Next some views of the crowd:

Carl in true form - looking for the next challenge:

The room was packed full of people (packed full of Torino folks - can never be a bad thing!!!). We never received a single noise complaint despite the loud spirited discussions at midnight:

Exhibit B: Carl in true form: (if you had not yet gathered, yes Carl was the life of the party)

Of course there is Alex as well:

Great times had by all!!!

Next, an alternative view of the 73 Torino "by the bank of the river" extravaganza:

First, the "goods":

Next, and example of the interest:

The "Enabler" walking away from his "masterpiece"

A couple of photos of after the show weekend. Laura and I stuck around Sunday (flew out Monday). We went to Gatlinburg after the last of the crew rolled out from Sevierville / Pigeon Forge after lunch at a place called the Apple Barrel. We took a gondola ride up the Smokey Mountains (referred to by folks from the Western half of the US as "hills"):

Great views, good times. It was a nice day.

Scott, I had a great time along with my wife. Looking forward to next year. Thanks for getting a room that was big enough for us to have a social gathering. I am not sure that I was more the life of the party as my wife was. I know at one point she had everyones attention on Friday night.

WHOA, guys......
Some really beautiful pieces you brought there! I am truly sorry I missed the event, I promise to do my best to make it next year.  It really looks like you all had a GREAT time together, and your cars are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!!!  An inspiration for me Smile
On the bright side, doing my rear upper control arms this week, and a slightly drippy rear pinion seal.  Mounted a NICE trunk lid this weekend, she is really getting there!  Mechanically, I will be all set afther this week.
Hopefully, I will have some serious headway in the interior and body by spring.
Thanks all for sharing, it looked like an awesome time!!!!!

I agree. It was more fun than I ever expected. Sometimes you just never know how different people will get along, but it shows that Torino people are the cream of the crop.

great pics and thanks for posting some non Ford products as well
anyone get any Mopar photos besides the black Plymoth Road Runner?
Use to restore alot of Mopars when I had my resto shop
like I said I like all kinds of Muscle cars and I just ended up a Ford and Torino guy by chance I guess as I started out with Chevy's then one Dodge Ramcharger 4X4 then my Torino experience started with the 72 Gran Torino Wagon my granfather gave me and basically been mostly Ford/Mercury ever since but I work on all brands

Anybody else have any other photos to post of cars that were not covered already?

this one?  if i remember correctly, someone talked to the guy and he said it was, in fact, a barn find.  he was beginning the restoration, pulled the engine and transmission and someone broke into his shop and stole them along with a bunch of equipment... so he decided to keep it how it was.

That's the thing about cars shows , if u just look, some times it a little ho hum, but you talk with the guys Then it becomes really intresting, I 'D have a lot of ?s , Ouch on the talladega , (sounds like a inside job) , reminds me of a 442 goes to shows with the pictures of a road rage event, sick. and that corvair,(my  grammie did have one ),  but that one ,  10f 3 ? the one I saw was a plain jane , hurst wheels though ,  Yenko was into everthing chevy I guess. Ralph was a twit, Thanks for all the goverment safty standards , the industry never would get around to it without him. Anyway like we all Know most of us, and them,  have a connection to our  car, beyond $

Are you running wheel spacers? I do like those wheels.
