Folks, as bad as it hurts to let it go, go it must.
A dead oak fell onto the top of the car, taking out the hood and windshield.
I think the cowl and headlight header panel are ok.
A good body man or woman could fix the roof in place, or remove the roof, fix it and reinstall.
I have another bullnose hood, as well as the factory chrome 5 spokes and center caps.
I also have a complete dash in a '74 that could go with the car.
I pulled the engine years ago (factory 429), but the rods and pistons disappeared. I think I can find the rest of the engine.
Floor console auto trans (factory C6? FMX?) is still in the car.
Body was red with '73 strobe stripes, black and white houndstooth buckets and rear seat. Door panels are white.
P/S P/B factory air. Manual buckets and door locks.
It made me sick to see what happened to the car, because I had current plans for a unique paint job after the resto.
I'm now working on my Starsky and Hutch; sadly, the current situation dictates that one car must go,
so it will be the '72.
The car is located near Macon GA.
If anyone is interested and really wants it, contact me here through PM and we'll discuss price and logistics.
I'm getting my parents' house ready to sell, and need the car gone ASAP.
Having to let the '72 go rips my heart out, but I have no other choice.

That's too bad about having to sell.  1972 N-codes are rare, it would be worth saving. It would be a C6 transmission originally behind that 429.  Post some pics of the car.  If you need help, there is a how to thread here:

I forgot to mention that the '72 was a factory vinyl roof.
As a side note, I don't know you katz from Adam, any more than you know me.
The reason I said that is, the only fair way to sell the car is by who PM's me first.
That way, hopefully prospective buyers will feel like they got a fair shake.
At this point, two people have replied, in order:

I'm gonna get pics this week, as soon as the weather permits (pouring rain here).
Thanx for the pic posting tip, 72 Ford GTS.

Camo

There has been no bidding from anyone, and no price has been set either.
I just got home twenty minutes ago, with several pics in the wife's cell phone.
I don't own a cell phone and don't know how to work one worth doodly.
As soon as I figger how to get the pics from the phone to my puter, I'll load them here.
After y'all peruse the pics, we'll see what you think it's worth and go from there.
There's no smoke and mirrors here, and no man to ignore behind the curtain.....
Everyone just hang on.
The cell phone is a Motorola android.
If you know how to move the pics from the phone to my puter, please enlighten me.
Regards,
Camo

I sometimes email pictures from my phone to myself, that makes it available on my computer email, open up the email and download the pic from the email to my photos.  Should be able to post to forum from there

dave's idea would work.
does the phone have a micro SD card in it? if the pics are stored on it or move to it you can remove the card and insert it in the adapter to the UBS port in the computer that's what i doWink

That's about the best I can do for pics right now.
The doors are locked, so I'm on the hunt for the keys.
I'll take and post interior pics at that time.
I'm also going to enlist some help in cutting away all the bushes and undergrowth around the car.
There's a '60 VW Beetle in there somewhere....

Thats pretty much beyond a project, its at best a somewhat parts car IMO. I'd go 300.00 if it has a clear title in your name.

Thats was GENEROUS IMO. He should offer it up for free to get it out of there in all honesty. this beloved torino has been allowed to lay on the ground for what looks like decades and we all know what that does to these cars, is really crusty up top as well, extremely battered, exposed the inside to the elements right over the instrument cluster, motors out, in pieces with some parts missin , no keys, etc etc etc   I mean do ya'll see somethin I'm missin? I see a few parts that MIGHT be useable, in fact I should have my head examined to have offered what I did since its gonna be a nightmare to get that car on a trailer and then the back and forth ride to get it. sorry if I offended you camojoe but I was serious in my offer but after consideration I'll retract that. good luck to you.
