assuming they are getting plenty of oil? hydraulic or solid lifter? are the roller tips centered with the end of the valve stem through it's lift cycle? any marks indicating some could be rubbing the valve cover or baffle???

more info, what cam? solid / hydraulic, grind or lift / duration

spring pressure?

who installed the springs and set the heads up for the cam lift + safety clearance?

what's your target lash (solid) or preload (hydraulic) ?

are you sure you have the trunnion turned the right way so the poly lock sits onto a flat countersink, and is the countersink large enough diameter to fit the polylocks?

just like everything else there's more to it than you probably realize or want to know

what's your adjusting procedure, are you familiar with the term Zero Lash?

hydraulic cam heads bought off ebay rebuild looks good roller has nice contact with valve stem, instructions say to base circle tighten till you cant turn push rods with fingers.hard to tell when you get to zero lash.

it's a VERY light touch when the rocker just barely comes to zero lash and there's a slight amount of drag on the pushrod. it'll probably still turn pretty easily

first thing to check is if the poly locks fit into the fulcrum spot-faced flat and if you have them all the correct orientation with the spot-faced flat facing up

are you using poly-locks?

what part number is your rocker & locks kit?

no guarantee they were oriented correctly in the package unless you checked during install

spend a few minutes getting the Zero Lash feel Wink

how much preload are you intending to put in?

what i do on any of my poly locks is... set the nut and rocker to zero lash, then turn the inner set screw tight, while keeping both of them in phase to each other turn both together a 1/4 turn tight to get my preload Wink

Yes unless you use the "turn both tools together & jam the threads" trick on the final tighten,

they'll come loose

have they been working themselves loose?
