Yeah, not really the best fashion statement. If I remember right I had just gotten hired on full time and had been issued the uniform with the blouse coat and my dad wanted a picture of me by my car. For some reason the shoes must have been an afterthought.

Apparently it's not just the long arm of the law, it's the long leg as well.

1973gts , i'm thinking Fargo ? I bought my first 73 blue on blue N code gts from the original owner who also had started work at he local upstart police department , He eventually made chief . and it helped the few times I was pulled over they would say " hey is this the chief's old car " The state Police who worked the outlining towns still ticketed me. It was all about smoke and speed back then . I like the blue on blue. Maine State Police cars are Blue , I thought it was a cop thing. I say keep it the Original Color . Nice Car

Yeah, I am definitely leaning towards the blue. My first car was a 64 Falcon I had repainted an almost identical blue as the Torino, really liked that color. (Picture is not my car but one I found on the web, only difference is mine had Magnum 500's on it)

This was in 1981 after a fresh rebuild in the road outside my front door. Hood had the paint melted off after the original owner decided to run it without the air cleaner on and an ignition problem.Flat black krylon, 2 cans. Edited by handsofstone - 14-April-2018 at 5:07AM |

Great looking car! Is that a Cougar Eliminator hood scoop? I bought one for my 73' but have yet to make any progress getting it mounted. I felt like the 60's Mustang/Torino scoop just looked too small on my car

Looks really good. That hood scoop looks great on the car, especially blacked out. It reminds me of a Boss 429 Mustang with your colour combo.

This is the perfect place to post your photos. Don't worry if you post in the wrong spot on this forum there is no scolding! We are pretty laid back, and if it's in the wrong section it will get moved without incident. Not big deal whatsoever.
It seems your links to the photos aren't working correctly. Try posting the links in a reply and I will edit your posts to include the photos. Otherwise, the best way is to just upload the photos to the website. It's a little slower but they are then stored on here forever. Let me know if you need any help. |
