Maybe nuts. Maybe nuts like a fox. Put one old speedo on Ebay with some insane price, get a link to your Ebay store on every gear head web site out there. Good promo for the cost of an Ebay listing, lol.

Exactly what he said.

No "Certified Calibration" insignia, not a Police item.

End of story.

I've bought parts from him over the years. Always top notch stuff...but you'll pay for it.

Not sure what the deal is on this part though. That part number does not even exist in the Ford parts microfiche. And they do have Canada only speedo listings, just no part number for any vehicle line that matches this part number.

This has been listed on eBay for that ridiculous price in the past too.
Checking the Ford's parts catalog, the speedometer is not even listed.  I bet it's an export market speedometer, but it's not a North American market car. A Canadian speedometer would have had both km/h and mph.  It's also odd that it goes to 220 km/h, that's 140 mph (roughly). So it probably was some sort of specialized speedometer.  Maybe some police package cars got exported?
Here is a Canadian speedometer from a '78 T-bird

Here is the eBay Unit to compare

Canada didn't adopted the metric system until 1978. Prior to that cars here were all in miles.  I think around 1976, we started getting some cars with miles and small km/h markings.   That said, when cars switched over to metric, there were still the MPH markings on the small scale of the speedometer, since at that time most people still knew miles better than kilometers.

Two other things I noticed;  One, the shipping and mailing addresses on the box both listed New Jersey.  I know they built Mustangs in Metuchen(Forgive Me if I butchered that), but were they making other cars and parts there too?  And second, the piece of paper in the one photo has the header, "Instructions on reseting odometer milage on service speedometers".  Wouldn't that make it some kind of special service vehicle part?
