Mom's '72 Squire. Picture was taken in 1978, I believe, judging by Homer's F100 in the background.

That San Francisco picture above had some rare ones in it. Notably the Capri and the Austin Marina.

My dad showed Me this the other day, and it kills me.  in 1985, my dad pulled me out of my '73 Mach 1(Upper right corner) for speeding, and stuck me in this-1977 Cougar XR-7, bucket seat/console/floor shift, rebuilt 351w 2bbl.  I HATED the car back then.  Wish I had it now.  It was immaculate.Unhappy

Very nice Cougar John!  Do you have an pics of your Mach 1 to post?  Is that a Cadillac parked next to the Cougar?

Truth be known, I didn't like my '76 at all when I bought it. I wanted a Camaro or Mustang and my Dad insisted I go look at this car and just use it as a temporary vehicle until I found a suitable pony car. I paid $1,050.00 plus tax and title for it in December of 1980. Ended up costing $1,111.11. I NEVER dreamed I'd still have it all these years later.

Well Joe, I wish I still had my '74! They are great cars, more refined than the '72. Here is my old '74, my '70 Mach 1, and my Dad's '73 which my brother and I called "the green bomb", feb/march 1978.

Your dad was right; the Torino was a better choice. Blew a freeze plug and cracked the block in that Mach right after I bought it!

@72FordGTS; oh yeah, got a lot of pictures of that one, in a album, in a box, somewhere...LOL  I'll try to find a few.  '73 Q-code, yellow w/ginger "comfort weave" interior, and full gauges.  I sold it when I thought it was time to become "responsible".Embarrassed As for the caddy, brand-new '85 Coupe DeVille with the 8-6-4 motor option, black w/tan leather interior.  My dad's car, all the way.  And I think My mom's Escort 4-door was parked in front of the Cougar.
